Granulation drums (Rotary drum granulator machine) employs water, steam, or similar substances, which are sprayed at high speed via a spray gun or atomizer to form fine droplets or mist. These fine droplets and mist then act to agglomerate the powdered materials within the granulation cylinder into granules.
In compound fertilizer production, spray granulation is a common process:
First, dissolve the raw materials such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium or make them into concentrated slurry (containing a certain amount of water); spray the slurry into the fluidized bed (there are already fine fertilizer particles in the bed) through a spray gun; the sprayed droplets fall on the surface of the fine particles, which on the one hand adhere to more powder, and on the other hand are dried by hot air, so that the particles gradually grow and finally form compound fertilizer particles that meet the specifications.
